Our prawn aquaculture activities relate mainly to the cultivation of Black Tiger Prawns. The tiger prawn farm is located in Bintuka, Sabah. Water salinity in the farm is ideal for prawn farming. Gazetted as an aquaculture zone, the area is also uncontaminated by industrial waste. Water quality in the farm is further enhanced by through the introduction of an organically cultured bacteria to ensure high survival rate for our prawn fries.
Each pond with an area of up to 6,000mē, we are able to plant up to 300,000 fries, and it is harvested twice a year
Our overall survival rate, from the hatching of the fries to the harvesting of the prawns, constantly exceeds 70% and our estimated harvest yield is 3.5 tonne per pond
