We pride ourselves in having in-house R&D and technical expertise to sustain ourselves in the industry. Presently, our R&D activities are primarily focused on our aquaculture methods and processes. For example, we research on developing prawn organic farming methods to improve yields and harvests. We currently have a 70% survival rate for our prawns.
In the past, we have conducted R&D on hatchery methods and the construction of a hatchery centre. The hatchery methods we employed have proven to be successful, and our hatchery centre is now an integral part of our aquaculture operations. Apart from that, our R&D focus on prawn farming have resulted in an increased yield on our harvests and reduced our costs of managing the farms. The new methods implemented has also increased survival rate of our fries to over 70% and we can continue to expect higher survival rates through our commitment to R&D.
